It’s summertime in Perth and the living is most definitely easy. Take full advantage of those long warm days and head to one of the many interesting and fun events coming up in the next few weeks.
Bob Marley Outernational – 11th February
First up is this Saturday’s annual Bob Marley ‘Outernational’ celebration down at the Railway Hotel in North Fremantle. This popular event celebrates the life and music of Bob Marley with an epic 12 hours of live reggae music performed on stage, headlined this year by Jamaica’s own Etana, alongside the UK’s Black Slate and Dizzy Dee, a recently signed outfit harking from Melbourne. There are plenty more bands due to play alongside stalls serving traditional Jamaican food plus screenings of films relating to the man himself. Tickets are $45 with part of the proceeds going to Oxfam’s emergency fund.
